After four wonderful years in the Star Wars podcasting community, Radio Free Tatooine is officially ending its run as a weekly podcast. We started in October 2014 around the same time as Star Wars Rebels, a time when the anticipation for The Force Awakens and all the upcoming new Star Wars content was through the roof and so was our ability to produce consistently exciting (by our standards) content week to week. Recently, how we view the show has changed. A lot.
After much consideration, we feel that it is now time to end our weekly broadcasts.
So what does this mean? Galactic War Report will live on, stronger than ever and The Legion Outriders will continue to inspire your tabletop play. The RFT network is not going anywhere and while there is no more weekly Star Wars news being delivered by Radio Free Tatooine, we are looking at short series options for some engaging new content. By eliminating the weekly Radio Free Tatooine podcast, we have essentially freed up more time to focus on making Galactic War Report the best show it can be, instead of splitting our time up on two shows and making them both suffer.
This was not an easy decision for us as we all love chatting with you each and every week about the galaxy far, far away, but it is our hope that this move will lead to much stronger content going forward. We hope you understand.
It’s been a great four years, you guys. All the late Tuesday nights and brain-dead Wednesday mornings? They were worth it. You have been a great community and we have been honored to be a part of it.
